Outlook Bleak for Brock Lesnar & WWE
According to Dave Meltzer and Mike Johnson, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar stormed off Monday Night Raw after a loud argument with Vince McMahon backstage. He was scheduled to appear on the show, but left early after a dispute that allegedly wasn’t about creative; the leading rumor is Brock and Vince are having issues coming to terms on a post-WrestleMania contract.
To make matters worse, Lesnar then appeared front-and-center at UFC 184. Dana White noted he expects a call as soon as his WWE contact is up, but wasn’t able to say more. As the legend grows, McMahon apparently told officials that Brock will be defending the title at WrestleMania because he’s contractually obligated to, and the company will sue him if he no-shows.
It’s really unclear at this point what’s true, what’s made-up and what’s total speculation. Because of their top-tier status, a problem between Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon immediately becomes the biggest news in wrestling, and rumors and false reports get out of hand that much quicker.
