MVP vs Bobby Lashley (c)

MVP and Lashley trade punches and try to show each other up, then Lashley connects with a clothesline and a three-point stance tackle. Lashley slams him down and MVP rolls outside, then Lashley chases him and MVP hits him a few times. The BDC tries to interfere as Lashley hits him back, then the referee throws the BDC out as MVP clotheslines Lashley on the floor. We get back from a break to see only Low Ki got tossed, and Samoa Joe chokes Lashley behind the ref’s back. Lashley fights back but MVP throws him outside, then Kenny King stomps him a few times before MVP goes for a cover.

Lashley fights out of a wristlock and hits a few clotheslines and a spinebuster for two, then he calls for a spear but King grabs his leg. MVP kicks Lashley in the face and hits an exploder suplex, then he calls for a Drive By but Lashley sidesteps him. Lashley turns and spears him, inadvertently hitting the ref too, and Eric Young runs out and beats Lashley with a chair. He tries to hit a piledriver on the chair but Bobby Roode runs out and fight Eric up the aisle, then Lashley gets back in it and drops MVP with a neckbreaker.

Lashley checks on the ref and clotheslines MVP, then he hits a powerslam but King pulls the ref out of the ring. Joe kicks Lashley in the corner, then Gunner runs down and chases Joe off, and King tries to attack from the turnbuckles. Lashley catches him before MVP hits a Playmaker, then he goes for the chair but Drew Galloway breaks it up and Lashley spears MVP for the win.

Winner – Bobby Lashley

BP: The commentator listing all of the men who interfered just demonstrates how badly overbooked this whole match was. It could have been a good one, but it was just too much. The whole BDC getting booted when Ki did would have made more sense for the rest of the events. Even Drew Galloway’s appearance was just kind of sudden considering how new to the roster he is. Decent show; Aries versus Joe was the real highlight here, but I’m pretty tired of TNA’s stables all following pretty much the same blueprint.
