WWE (Doctor) Suing CM Punk

CM Punk made it almost three full months with no negative backlash from the scathing podcast he dropped on Colt Cabana’s “The Art of Wrestling”. In the interview, he claimed WWE doctor…. you know what, you know the story by now. 

Chris Amann is now suing Punk for defamation to the tune of $1 million, and it’s being reported that essentially, he’s doing it on behalf of the company, who can’t sue the former champion themselves.

It’s hard to deny that, since WWE actually came out in support of the doctor, sending us a press release that basically said “here’s a video, there’s no lump on Punk’s back, figure it out for yourselves.” Where WWE’s emails to us are generally professional and strictly news-based, this one seemed uncharacteristically snarky; like they had this “victory” in the bag. 

We will continue updating the situation as more information becomes available, but this one isn’t expected to go to trail.
