TNA Impact Wrestling Results (2/20) – Hardy/Wolves vs Revolution, Al Snow vs Grado, Who Won The #1 Contender’s Gauntlet?

20 Man Gauntlet Battle Royal Match

(Winner Earns TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match)

Aries and King start out and Aries elbows King, then he tries to eliminate him before King attacks him in the corner. Crazzy Steve enters and attacks King, then gets a high five from Aries as Jessie Godderz enters. Jessie stomps Aries and Steve, then Bram enters as Steve fights off an elimination. Everyone fights near a corner as Khoya enters, and Steve gets thrown over the ropes as Chris Melendez enters. Sarge goes after King and slugs it out with him, then hits a sitout full nelson bomb before trying to throw King outside. We get back from a break to see Tyrus make his way out and hit King and Jessie, then Spud makes his entrance as Samuel Shaw gets tossed out. DJ Z and Jessie get eliminated, then Spud attacks Tyrus, and he connects with three running forearms before Tyrus catches him and clotheslines him over the ropes.

Robbie E makes his entrance, then Sanada sprays Tyrus with green mist and Anderson ends up eliminating Sanada from the apron. Anderson also sends Tyrus outside while he is blinded, then Gunner and EC3 make their way out and Robbie gets thrown over the ropes. Bram gets eliminated, then EC3 gets knocked outside, and Samoa Joe runs out and Anderson goes right after him. Joe elbows him and Low Ki makes his way out, and he attacks Gunner and Aries before Gunner backdrops him on the apron. Ki lands on his feet and lands some uppercuts, then MVP makes his way out and the BDC starts clearing the ring.

Kurt Angle makes his entrance and hits some suplexes as we go to a break, then we get back to see Gunner and Aries thrown out of the ring. Kurt is left by himself to fight the BDC as Lashley makes his way out, and they keep him isolated and grounded until Kurt ends up catching Joe offguard. Kurt sends him outside and backdrops Ki over the ropes, then he sidesteps a big boot by MVP and blocks a splash by King. He throws King over the ropes and it’s down to MVP and Kurt, and they slug it out and MVP points at Lashley on the ramp. MVP tries to send Kurt into the ropes but Kurt reverses and stomps him, then King runs interference and MVP kicks Kurt in the head to eliminate him.

Winner – MVP

BP: Decent match; I’m glad they didn’t go with the obvious or hinted route that Kurt would beat the whole BDC alone. MVP vs Lashley could be good, but I expect plenty of interference next week. One thing TNA does is book their stables the same way, and that’s not really a good thing. Overall this was a good show.
