Would the inclusion of Daniel Bryan be “best for business”, or simply create a headache for writers with the chance of even more fan backlash?
If Bryan defeats Roman Reigns at Fastlane, he’ll earn the right to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, leaving Reigns’ status up in the air. We may be looking at two consecutive WrestleManias with a triple threat main event, and two consecutive WrestleManias where the WWE Universe may have influenced the original booking plans.
Therein lies the problem. How many times can long term story arcs be manipulated, just to appease a select group of fans? The cast shoots on the idea of Bryan going to the WrestleMania main event, and if WWE caving to fans on a yearly basis is good for the business. From a different perspectives, caving to fans could also be slightly detrimental to the industry. Simply put: Has Vince lost his backbone?
