– The show was announced as a sellout a few hours before the doors opened, and the bleachers quickly filled up when the doors were open after the preshow taped.
– In addition to Ric Flair being in attendance, another notable name in attendance was Mick Foley’s daughter, Noelle. Mick joked that he was at Full Sail but didn’t watch the show; Noelle can be seen sitting in the center of where the hard camera was on the broadcast.
-“The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko was also in attendance for the special.
– The finish of the NXT Championship match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came off like it would be a disqualification or a no contest, but got pretty vocal when WWE ringside physician Chris Amann made his way over to Zayn.
The fans popped pretty loudly when Owens was awarded the title, and most were happy with the decision and how the match itself went down.
– Owens’ family was in attendance last night, including his parents, son Owen (who his NXT character is named after), and a friend. When Owens raised his championship and pointed up into the stands, he was pointing up to where they were sitting, acknowledging them. They had mentioned they came down from Montreal to see the show, and spoke to the Miami Herald’s Jim Varsallone, which you can see here.
