2/6 WWE NXT Live Event Results: Itami vs. Breeze, Chad Gabble Impresses, Solomon Crowe in Action & Kevin Owens Makes Appearance

nxtThanks to Wrestlezone reader Jeremy W. for sending in the following live report from NXT in Citrus Springs on 2/6.

NXT had a live event in Citrus Springs, FL this Friday night. The crowd was small, but hot and ready for some good action.

(1) Chad Gabble def. Diggs Rawlis. Gabble is excellent, and there seemed to be a decent amount of buzz for him here. The name “Diggs Rawlis” reminds me too much of “Dolph Ziggler” (also a dumb name), but this was pretty good.

-Finn Balor did an interview in the ring, and talked about his upcoming match with Adrian Neville next week on the WWE Network.

(2) Baron Corbin def. Tony. I didn’t catch Tony’s last name.

(3) Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson def. Enzo Amore & Big Cass. The later are super over. I don’t understand why they’re not doing more with these guys.

(4) Hideo Itami def. Tyler Breeze. This was pretty good, and practice for their match at Takeover.

(5) Solomon Crowe def. Tye Dillinger

(6) Becky Lynch def. Charlotte & Bayley in a 3-way non-title match. No Sasha Banks, but they all worked well together.

-Kalisto and Jason Jordan were supposed to have a match, and one did get started, but Kevin Owens ran out and beat the hell out of both of them. He cut a promo on Sami Zayn and the NXT Championship, then left.

(7) Buddy Murphy & Wesley Blake def. The Vaudevillians to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship.

I’ve never been to a Full Sail show despite living in the area, but this was a lot of fun, and I’ll definitely be checking out more NXT. All the tag team action was solid, and the Lucha Dragons weren’t even on the card, which tells you how much better the NXT tag scene is than the main roster.
