Match Advertised For WWE Fast Lane
As we previously reported, the WWE Fast Lane PPV was advertising two different matches to take place at the debut show, set to take place at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennesee.
Original ads were showing Roman Reigns and John Cena vs Seth Rollins and Big Show, which was thought to be a place holder bout for local ads. The FedEx Forum’s website had been advertising a Last Man Standing Match featuring Roman Reigns vs Big Show, last week, but the description has since been updated:
Fans can “feel the thrill” of the first ever “Fast Lane” pay-per-view event on the road to WrestleMania 31 with their favorite Superstars including: John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, The Divas and many more. The wrestling card is subject to change.
While the match hasn’t been officially announced anywhere, readers have sent in word that they have seen the Last Man Standing Match in print advertisements in the local Memphis area, which could be seen as a good sign that WWE will in fact go forward with this promoted bout, in addition to the confirmed John Cena vs Rusev match.
Alternate Poster For Fast Lane
WWE usually does a pretty good job of keeping pay-per-view providers up-to-date with their events and the posters for them.
WWE was originally slow to introduce the ‘official’ Fast Lane logo (seen here), and used white block generic lettering as a placeholder until the current logo was used. However, iNDemand PPV is still featuring a different poster with new lettering, which should have been updated by now. This could be a sign designs for the branding of the event were last minute, and several choices were made.
BP: The last time I can remember this happening was No Way Out 2012, where Daniel Bryan and AJ Lee were featured on a western themed poster, which conflicted with the steel and chain style branding seen here. WWE is usually consistant with these things; for the record, I like the iNDEMAND poster more.
