The Weirdest Survivor Series Teams Featured On The Latest WWE Five Things, More On New WB/WWE Deal

WWEMore On WB/WWE Deal

Variety was the first to post an exclusive about the new deal between Warner Brothers Home Entertainment and WWE for their home video distribution deal.

The deal will kick in on January 1st, 2015, and it includes distribution rights to WWE’s DVD, Blu-ray and digital releases in the United States.

Warner Brothers first started a relationship with WWE after teaming up to produce the direct-to-video film “Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery”, and also have a Flintstones title, as well as a Scooby-Doo sequel in the works.

Previously, the WWE distribution rights were held by Cinedigm, who inherited the deal in 2013 after it was included as part of their purchase of Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment. We previously reported Warner had been interested in acquiring the distribution rights; WWE still owns 100% of their tape library and Warner was not looking to buy footage.
