Hell In A Cell

Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose comes out with a kendo stick in a holster on his back, and he throws a bunch of chairs in the ring before he climbs the Cell and pumps the crowd up. Rollins comes out with Mercury and Noble and screams at Ambrose to get down, then he tries going after Ambrose on the roof. Rollins backs off and tells Mercury and Noble to go up instead, then they try to get him down but Ambrose ends up teeing off on them with the kendo stick. Rollins finally gets up there and hits Ambrose from behind, then Mercury and Noble join in and take some shots before they hold Ambrose up.

Rollins tells them to throw Ambrose off the cell but Ambrose kicks them back and DDT’s Noble, and Rollins tries to escape by climbing back down. Ambrose chases him and grabs him by the hair, then they trade punches before slamming each other’s head into the cage wall. Both guys fall from about halfway up the cell and crash through both commentary tables, then EMT’s come out and load them both onto backboards and gurneys. They get wheeled away but Ambrose jumps up and throws Rollins on the ground, then he gets a running start and whips him headfirst into the cell wall. He whips Rollins in the ring and slams the door in his face, then he chases Mercury and Noble off and gets the door locked.

The ref rings the bell and Ambrose beats Rollins with a chair, then Rollins tries to get away but Ambrose tries jabbing a screwdriver into his forehead. Rollins breaks free but Ambrose dropkicks him into the cage wall, then he chases Rollins around and clotheslines him outside before hitting a suicide dive into the cage. Rollins hits him with a chair and wedges a table in between the apron and the cage, and he tries suplexing Ambrose onto it but Ambrose headbutts him and knocks him down on it. Ambrose climbs to the middle turnbuckle and elbow drops Rollins through it, then Kane shows up and sprays Ambrose with a fire extinguisher through the chain link. Rollins uses the distraction to powerbomb Ambrose through a table on the floor, then he rolls Ambrose in and Curb Stomps him, but only gets two.

Rollins brings his briefcase in the ring before he beats Ambrose with a chair, then he tries to Curb Stomp Ambrose on the briefcase but Ambrose sidesteps and goes for Dirty Deeds. Rollins shoves him into the ropes but Ambrose hits a rebound clothesline, then he hits Rollins with the briefcase and gets a close near fall. Ambrose goes under the ring and gets some cinder blocks, and he places Rollins’ head on them and calls for a Curb Stomp of his own. He backs up but the lights go out, and we hear some odd chanting before we see a lantern in the ring, with a spirit glowing above it. Bray Wyatt appears out of nowhere and clotheslines Ambrose, then the lights go out and come back up before Bray takes Ambrose down with a side slam. Bray kneels down next to him and Rollins crawls over and makes the cover, then Bray hits Ambrose with Sister Abigail as the show ends.

Winner – Seth Rollins

BP: I was really hoping for a clean finish here; these guys deserved that much. It was a good fight, and this Wyatt/Ambrose feud really could have been set up tomorrow night. I know plenty of people are excited for this feud, and so am I, but this Rollins/Ambrose feud should have had a clear end. It didn’t. Overall, it was an entertaining show, but still a bit disappointing. Dolph winning in two straight falls, the AA countered into a RKO, and the main event were highlights. Bray’s appearance was very well done, I just feel like it could’ve waited until tomorrow.
