John Cena In Variety
We previously reported that WWE Superstar John Cena was featured in a Variety article, talking about a new unscripted television project he will be involved with.
The newest issue of Variety, which hit newsstands yesterday, also mentions Cena is starring in a comedy called “Company Man”, set for release next year. WWE posted the following excerpt promoting Cena’s Variety write up, talking about his unscripted TV plans, Hollywood success, and more:
The 15-time World Champion will appear in a pair of films in 2015, July’s “Trainwreck” and December’s “The Nest,” but it will be the first time Cena showcases his funny bone on the silver screen. Cena takes a break from filming and hitting the ring to talk to Variety about working with some of comedy’s brightest minds — Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer for “Trainwreck,” Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for “The Nest.” He also opens up on the Hollywood successes of in-ring rivals Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Batista and why he wants to show he’s more than an action star.
Randy Orton Injury Rumor Update
There have been several reports since Monday stating that Randy Orton may have been injured on RAW, with some saying Orton was heard saying he reinjured a ruptured disc in his back.
Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but it’s worth noting that Orton did not work last night’s Smackdown tapings.
