WWE RAW Results (10/20) – Rusev Crosses The Line, Title Implications For HIAC, Cena/Ambrose vs Authority!

Rusev (w/ Lana) vs Big E

Rusev ties Big E up and repeatedly kicks him a few times, then E ducks a clothesline and splashes him. Rusev rolls outside but E follows, so Rusev slams him into apron before E throws him into the barricade. E rolls him in and slams him in the corner, then Rusev comes back with some headbutts before Rusev applies a headlock. E fights out and runs at Rusev, but Rusev kicks him in the face and stomps him before making him tap to the Accolade.

Winner – Rusev

Rusev says he is going to rip Big Show’s heart out and he will fail his American people, then Lana asks the crowd to stand for the real red, white and blue. The flag doesn’t deploy from the rafters and Rusev flips out, then Big Show is shown on the Titantron laughing about it. Show points to the ring, then the American flag drops down above the ring and some patriotic music plays but Rusev gets pissed and tries to rip the flag down. A soldier in uniform runs in the ring and tries to stop him, then security runs in to grab him but Rusev kicks the guy in the face and leaves as he’s checked by doctors.

We get back from a break to see Big Show in the ring, and he struggles to find the words to say, before finally telling everyone there are certain lines you don’t cross. He says you don’t disrespect an American soldier, ever, and if Rusev wants his attention and wants to get in his head, it’s working. Show says his mind is a very dark place, and he’s an American giant, so Rusev’s fifteen minutes of fame is over at Hell In A Cell. Show leaves the ring but ends up turning around, and he says the hell with that, he wants Rusev in the ring right now! Show demands Rusev come fight him, but he doesn’t come out so Show says he is going to look for Rusev in the back himself. Show asks where Rusev’s dressing room is and makes his way over, then he kicks in the door but finds it empty, so he ends up leaving.

BP: I already thought this feud, and Rusev in general, was being built up really well, but that whole segment was awesome. That definitely got tons of heat, and Big Show played his part well. He played goofball a bit on the Titantron, but turned on the anger at the end and made it all believable. Well done.
