Intercontinental Championship
Cesaro vs The Miz (w/ Damien Sandow) vs Dolph Ziggler (c)
Cesaro knocks Miz down and tries to press slam him, but Dolph dropkicks him in the back and knocks them both down as we go to a break. We get back to see Dolph counter a backdrop by Cesaro and Miz with a double DDT, then he splashes Miz and dropkicks Cesaro before splashing him. Dolph hits a double neckbreaker for two, then he hits the ropes but Sandow trips him and Miz tries to steal a rollup. Dolph kicks him before trying to roll Miz up, then he comes off the top rope but Miz catches him and goes for a Figure Four. Dolph kicks him into the ropes and Cesaro uppercuts him, then Dolph launches Cesaro into Miz and puts Miz in the Figure Four. Miz flails around before Cesaro breaks it up, then Cesaro hits Miz in the corner before Miz clotheslines him in the corner. Cesaro uppercuts him coming off the ropes, but Dolph comes in and superkicks him and makes the cover to retain.
Winner – Dolph Ziggler
BP: Short match, but very good. The double neckbreaker spot was really cool and got a good pop.
Rosa Mendes (w/ Natalya & Tyson Kidd) vs Layla (w/ Summer Rae)
Nattie and Tyson fight over Tyson playing a game and listening to music, then Rosa hits Layla with some forearms. Layla pulls out some of Rosa’s extensions and throws her out of the ring, and Nattie gets in Layla’s face but Summer runs over and yells at her. Nattie takes her down and punches her, Tyson oblivious to it all, and Rosa hits Layla before Layla comes back with a LayOut for the win.
Winner – Layla
BP: This was absolutely terrible. This was like setting up a trashy TV drama, and had no business being featured as a match. With that said, as a segment, it was pretty funny. I know I’m talking from both sides, but wrestling wise it sucked. Drama wise, it was on point. I’m glad they are finally featuring Tyson and Nattie as a couple on TV (which I thought would happen on NXT), but surprised they didn’t slowly bring it in over a few shows.
