Former ROH Owner Curses Out Ric Flair
Former Ring of Honor owner and Ambassador Cary Silkin recently lashed out on Ric Flair on Twitter, claiming he (Flair) screwed him out of forty thousand dollars for missed appearances with ROH.
PWInsider.com is reporting that they spoke with Silkin over the phone this afternoon and he confirmed that he did write the comments on Twitter.
Silkin is referencing a legal dispute from 2009 when Flair was hired to be an on-air ambassador and authority figure, and he walked out on the company after he was paid for several appearances.
According to the lawsuit, Flair failed to show up to a few of his scheduled ROH appearances after he was paid for TV appearances, only making one of them. Flair was reported to have made an announcement to the live crowd that he was leaving ROH due to his relationship with WWE, and walked out in the middle of the show. The lawsuit was never settled.
