WWE RAW Results (8/25) – Rusev vs Swagger, Eulogy For Ambrose, Nikki Attacks Brie, Cena vs Bray!

Kane comes out for a eulogy of Dean Ambrose, but he says it’s not to say goodbye to anyone, but he wants to celebrate the future of Seth Rollins. He welcomes Rollins to the ring and Rollins says fear wasn’t holding Ambrose back, but he had to prove The Authority always wins. Rollins says it’s no secret that the cinder blocks were placed at ringside on purpose, and Ambrose’s career can always be summed up with the words ‘what if?’. He says Ambrose should have walked away and learned from this, because it’s highly likely that they never see Dean Ambrose again. Rollins says he’s the one who created and destroyed The Shield, then Roman Reigns makes his way out and fights Kane at ringside. Kane tries to fight back but Reigns punches him and whips him into the steps, then Reigns tackles Rollins in the corner and whips him into the podium. Reigns hits him with the podium and clotheslines him, then he sets up for a Superman punch but Kane pulls him out of the ring.

BP: This was pretty well done, and I’m hoping they go with this feud while Ambrose is out. It gives that Rollins/Ambrose feud a little breathing time, and Reigns is a natural fit here. He could either fight all of the Authority since he still has business with Randy Orton, or it could be just Rollins, but either way it should be a good one.

The Dust Brothers vs The Usos (c)

Jimmy and Goldust trade punches before Stardust and Goldust splash both Usos on the floor, then we get back from a break to see Jey clothesline Stardust a few times. Jey catches Goldust with a Samoan drop off of a tag, then he splashes Stardust on the floor and the ref begins a count. Jey stumbles as he gets up as he looks to have injured himself on the way down, then Stardust hits him and dives inside to beat the count.

Winners (by countout) – The Usos

Goldust calls The Usos out and says they should be ashamed for winning by an intentional countout, and they want a rematch. He says this was their one shot at the titles, then Jimmy says his brother is hurt, and they don’t quit. Goldust says he wants a rematch right now, then they attack both Usos and send them out of the ring.

BP: I’m actually interested to see where this apparent heel turn goes, and if it will work. Goldust has been face for so long, but plays a great heel as evidenced in his earlier runs. This is a good set up to provide another program for the Usos, and continue to feature a unique team in Stardust/Goldust. The only thing to really question is if the fans will get behind it. They love both teams, so we shall see how much heat the Dust Brothers can get.
