How Much of WWE’s Library Footage is Digitized for the Network?

KaneWWE CFO George Barrios revealed during the Needham Fireside Chat in New York City that WWE has 150,000 hours of video footage in its library, and about 40,000 of those hours have been digitized for the WWE Network.

Why Kane Might Have Removed His Mask on Raw

As we previously noted, WWE has been wanting to come up with some tie in between Kane’s “See No Evil” character Jacob Goodnight and his TV character. This has lead to speculation that Kane removed his mask on Raw this week and gave it to Stephanie because WWE intends to bring the Jacob Goodnight character to TV.

Just this past week, WWE Studios confirmed the October 17th release date for “See No Evil 2,” so this might be WWE’s way of introducing fans to Jacob Goodnight on TV to help promote the movie.

In related news, WWE has posted a poll on its website asking fans what Kane’s unmasking means, and with over 18,000 votes cast, “”Kane will come back more dangerous than ever” is leading with 34% of the vote. Right behind it, however, with 32% of the vote is “we’ve seen the last of Kane.”

Paglino: At this point I’ll welcome any kind of overhaul to Kane’s gimmick. If he returns as Isaac Yankem, I’ll make an appointment for a root canal.

I know some people aren’t happy with WWE’s constant product plugs on TV, and Jacob Goodnight would be yet another tie in with other WWE projects, but I’m willing to give it a shot if it means something totally fresh for Kane.
