Jim Ross to Address Controversy
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross mentioned on his podcast this week that he will not be in attendance at this year’s SummerSlam PPV, one year after the “misconstrued debacle” at the 2013 WWE 2K14 video game reveal event.
“I’m not gonna be attending SummerSlam in Los Angeles, as many of you have asked. I’ll only be in L.A. around that time if I have work to do for Fox Sports or PodcastOne; none of which are scheduled. I plan on watching SummerSlam on my patio, looking at my pond, watching on my iPad and being completely content. Last year’s misconstrued debacle at the video game symposium party pretty well put a nail in my coffin. The stories emanating from some will be addressed. I want to get around to writing about that event in my first book, or in my second book.”
Special “Hulk” Edition of WWE 2K15
A Gamestop employee in California has sent in word that the unannounced Hulk Hogan special edition of WWE 2K15 will be available for pre-order in early September. It will feature an exclusive Hulk Hogan DLC character from WrestleMania 30, a personal autograph from Hogan, a disc from one of his DVD’s, and an alternate cover for the game.
This is on track with last year’s special edition featuring The Undertaker, which had all the same things, plus it came in a special “coffin” case, with a unique skin for a controller as well. That version was available for $99.99, and this year you can expect the same thing. WWE 2K15 will be released on October 28th in North America.
