New X-Division Champion Crowned
Austin Aries defeated Sanada to recapture the X-Division Championship during tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling.
The switch actually happened several weeks ago at the Bethlehem, PA TV taping event. The story is that Aries wanted to win the title back to cash in on “Option C”, a concept that he created that will see the champion vacate the X-Division Championship for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Whether or not he chooses to do this will be revealed when the highly anticipated New York City tapings begin airing next week.
Chris Jericho Returns to MSG
Recently returned WWE Superstar Chris Jericho confirmed via Twitter this afternoon that he will be facing off against Randy Orton at the company’s return to Madison Square Garden this Saturday.
