Sin Cara Wrestles as Mistico, TNA Upset with NYC Ticket Sales Reports, The Latest on MVP’s Injury Status

Sin Cara Wrestles as Mistico

sin caraAs we noted a couple weeks ago, the original Sin Cara, Luis Alvirde, has been asking fans for a new name to use in AAA.

In an update to that story, Alvirde is being billed as Mistico for this Saturday's Verano de Escalando event, which is AAA's SummerSlam equivalent.

It's unclear as to whether or not Alvirde has obtained the rights to use the Mistico name, as he previously was unable to use that ring name in addition to the Sin Cara name owned by WWE.

The Latest on MVP's Injury Status

Since news broke over the weekend of MVP injuring his knee at a Preston City Wrestling event, there has been no update as to whether or not he will be competing at TNA's Slammiversary PPV as scheduled.

MVP was scheduled to go the Netherlands after this weekend's PCW shows, but he told fans he needs an MRI on the knee to further evaluate the severity of the injury, so if he does not head to The Netherlands, it's likely because he is undergoing further injury testing.

TNA Upset with Recent Ticket Sales Report

According to PWInsider.com, there are several people within TNA who are upset with recent online reports of New York City Impact Wrestling ticket sales being low.

Some people in the company feel ex-TNA employees are spreading bad information regarding the ticket sales to hurt TNA, and a check of Ticketmaster shows around 500-600 tickets having been sold for the tapings, which is about half the available tickets.
