Shawn Michaels revealed some interesting backstage information on Jim Ross' "Ross Report" podcast.
HBK explained the decision for the streak to be broken was made four hours before WrestleMania went on the air. Jim Ross said that he had a conversation with Undertaker in New Orleans where he asked the legend how many matches he thought he had left? The Undertaker responded with "I'll know in a few hours" once his match with Lesnar was over.
Michaels said Undertaker told him he would get a hold of him a few weeks after WrestleMania and give him an update on things. Mr. WrestleMania said Undertaker was pretty beat up after the match as many reports suggested.
The two also talked about who made the decision for the streak to end and Michaels said it was a call made by Vince McMahon who he's certain had a clear idea and reason of wanting to end the streak on that night.
Michaels also talked in detail about his WrestleMania 25 match with The Undertaker and much more.
