The following are some major storyline updates coming out of tonight's pre-recorded episode of TNA Impact Wrestling from Orlando, FL:
-The fate of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship was decided when AJ Styles and Magnus, who both have legitimate claims to the belt, competed in a No Disqualification match. After a long match that included multiple distractions from TNA President Dixie Carter, the BroMans, Ethan Carter III, Rockstar Spud, Bad Influence, "The Icon" Sting and the involvement of multiple referees, Magnus won the match to become the Undisputed TNA Champion. Afterwards, AJ Styles said "goodbye" to the fans left the ring for the last time, as his contract has officially expired with the company, and he will not be returning in the near future.
-With next week's live Genesis special on Spike TV approaching, Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode both competed in steel cage matches. Roode was able to get a win over Sting thanks to some help from Team Carter (aka the Dixie Train), while the Olympic gold medalist defeated both Kazarian and Christopher Daniels of Bad Influence. The two will meet in one final encounter next week at Genesis, inside a steel cage.
-Former tag team champions Gunner and James Storm continued to have difficulties this week. Their problems started several weeks ago when Gunner won a "Feast or Fired" briefcase for a future shot at the TNA World Championship, literally going over his partner to win. Storm has become increasingly frustrated by Gunner showing him up in recent weeks, so the challenge was made to put the "Feast or Fired" briefcase on the line next week at Genesis.
