Update on Original Sin Cara’s WWE Future, WWE Diva Not Cleared to Return

Sin Cara in Trouble?

Sin CaraThe original Sin Cara, Luis Urive, is approaching the end of his deal with the WWE, as his contract expires on January 10th, and few expect a new contract to be worked up. Urive, who is a legend in Mexico known as Mistico, signed a 3-year deal back in 2011, making his television debut on April 4th, saving Daniel Bryan. Since then he has been plagued by a series of injuries, in-ring inconsistencies and Wellness violations. While suspended, WWE developmental talent Hunico filled in for Urive, and feuded with Sin Cara for several months upon his return. Hunico is currently under the Sin Cara mask, and has been picking up several major wins in the past few weeks, on both Raw and Smackdown. Many expect him to stay on with the gimmick, and that Urive will quietly leave the company in the coming weeks, once his contract has expired.

WWE Diva Not Cleared for Return

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE Diva Layla has not be cleared to wrestle. At this time there is no official word on wether she has been injured, or taken off television for personal reasons, but Layla has been missing in action for several months. She turned heel in August during a rivalry between Kaitlyn and AJ Lee, siding with the Divas Champion, but since the decision was made to use Tamina as AJ's bodyguard, Layla has not been seen on WWE television. She was a part of a WWE photoshoot in September, before tweeting that she was "home bound", telling her fans "don't miss me too much". Layla has also been unusually quiet on social media this month.
