Thanks to Trevor Finnell for sending in the following report:
I attended RAW last night at the Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, MS, the first in almost 8 years to take place here. Overall, good show put on by the boys and gals in the WWE. Place was about 90-95% full once the show got underway, which was surprising since the Saints were playing on Monday Night Football. (If you’re not from the local area here in Biloxi or the gulf coast, the majority of locals here are very Saints crazy, especially since they were 3-0 going into last night’s game).
Biggest pop:
1. CM Punk
2. Daniel Bryan
3. The Usos
Biggest Heat:
1. Paul Heyman
2. The Shield
3. Triple H/Stephanie McMahon
Biggest ‘I Have No Idea What’s Going on Moment’:
1. Los Matadores. No one really knew what to think, especially when the ‘bull’ showed up. Once the match got underway, most of the crowd got behind them
2. CM Punk’s “injury.” Lot of people thought he actually busted his leg on the hop over the barricade, and the place went near silent before Punk popped up with the Kendo Stick.
After Raw went off the air, Randy Orton walked back over to the fallen Daniel Bryan and looked as if he was going to continue the beatings until CM Punk came out to make the save. Punk and Orton went at it for a little bit in the ring until Ryback and Curtis Axel came out to make the save for Orton. Before they could get in some good shots, the Usos and Dolph Ziggler came out to complete the ‘Trifecta Save’ and the faces started to beat down on the heels. Orton was quick to get out, followed by Ryback, and Axel became the whipping boy for the faces. Best part was when CM Punk set up Axel for the GTS, then began to spin around the ring with Axel on his shoulders, a la Antonio Cesaro from earlier. After spinning around, (in both directions nonetheless), for about 30 seconds, Punk hit the GTS, the faces checked up on Bryan, helped him to his feet, and celebrated with the crowd and sent them home happy.
