Triple H and Stephanie McMahon come to the ring and invite the Rhodes family to join them, then Stephanie congratulates Cody on his wedding. She asks if he got their gift card, then HHH asks why they all look so angry, because they are giving them one more chance out of the goodness of their hearts. HHH says they both failed to beat Randy Orton, so they offered Dusty a chance to earn their job back but he told Stephanie to go to hell. He says Dusty must be pissed that he never made it big in WWE, but Stephanie says Dusty has a very important job at their developmental center.
Stephanie says he trains the new talent, but they hold their futures in their hands, because Cody and Goldust can earn their jobs back by beating The Shield at Battleground. HHH says there's a condition, and they will never work here again if they lose, not to mention Dusty will be fired too. Dusty says he'll be in their corner just to make sure things go right, but Stephanie says he should look out, because he might get a fight he's looking for. The Shield run in from behind and Reigns spears Goldust, then they attack Cody and Dusty before powerbombing Cody. They stomp Dusty and tell him to stay down, then they taunt the crowd and pose over Dusty before leaving.
R-Truth vs Curtis Axel (w/ Paul Heyman)
Axel hiptosses Truth and taunts him, then Truth dances and slaps Axel before they tie up and Truth kicks the back of his legs and knocks him down. Truth hits some mounted punches before Axel snaps his head on the ropes, then he applies a side headlock but Truth fights back with a clothesline and a suplex stunner. Truth goes for a dropkick but Axel grabs the ropes, then CM Punk's music cuts them off and Heyman and Axel look around for him, but Truth surprises Axel with a jumping STO for the win.
