Ring of Honor Forces Talents to Pull Out of Upcoming FWE iPPV

Ring of Honor is now forcing some of their top talents to pull out of the upcoming FWE Open Weight Grand Prix iPPV, and from all iPPVs for the foreseeable future. This includes Michael Bennett, Jay Lethal and ROH World TV Champion Matt Taven.

FWE posted the following on their official Facebook page Tuesday afternoon:

"Got some shitty news for everyone. Ring of Honor has decided their talent can no longer appear on our iPPV's. This means that ROH has pulled Mike Bennett, ROH pulled the surprise return of Matt Taven and for the second show in a row ROH has pulled Jay Lethal. Replacements will be named shortly and we apologize for the misunderstanding."

This is not the first time a top independent promotion has forced its contracted employees to remain exclusive to their product, but it has been met with criticism from many within the industry. Although Ring of Honor is currently the third largest wrestling scene in the United States, it is still difficult for many of their talents to make a living wrestling only for the promotion, leading to appearances at events like FWE, an excellent aggregate show out of New York City.
