Kofi gets distracted by Heyman and Axel hits Kofi as we go to a break, then we come back to see Kofi whip Axel into the ropes and Axel clothesline him. Axel bodyslams him and heads to the middle turnbuckle, but Kofi kicks him on the way down and hits some chops and a dropkick. Axel comes back with his own dropkick for a near fall, then he punches Kofi and whips him, but Kofi kicks him and tries to springboard off the ropes. Axel crotches him on the ropes and punches him in the tree of woe position, then he goes for a DDT but Kofi coutners with S.O.S. for the surprise win.

Renee Young catches up with Paul Heyman backstage and asks if he's concerned with Curtis Axel losing like just now, because CM Punk could fight him if that happens. Heyman says tonight was an error in judgment because he overlooked Kofi Kingston, and it's because he's been looking for CM Punk at Night of Champions. He says that will never happen again, and Punk promised to break his face and they will see him at his worst. Heyman says he accepted Punk for that, but his worst is much better, then Renee tells him Punk promised the beating of a lifetime and Heyman gets pissed and walks off.
Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella) vs Naomi (w/ Cameron)
Brie hits Naomi a few times and takes her to the mat, but Naomi comes back with a dropkick for a near fall and a high kick from the apron. Brie attacks her and knocks her off the apron, then AJ leads a group of Divas out to the ring and they all brawl with each other to cause the match to be thrown out. Layla, Alicia and Aksana take control as AJ grabs a mic, and she announces herself as WWE Divas Champion and drops the mic.
