Another Update on Chris Jericho's WWE Future
We reported earlier in the week that Chris Jericho will likely be leaving WWE prior to this year's SummerSlam PPV, as he is expected to go on tour with his band Fozzy.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Jericho could be busy with the band and off WWE TV until January of next year, when he would then be able to return for a story line leading into WrestleMania 30.
Mike Bennett Comments on Possibly Heading to WWE, Will Maria Go with Him?
Ring of Honor star Mike Bennett recently appeared on Monday Night Mayhem, and when asked about potentially heading to WWE, and whether or not Maria Kanellis will head there with him, he had the following to say:
"Me and Maria are not a package deal. For some reason, I get people asking if I would only go to the WWE with Maria, and that is not the case at all. She was offered a deal to go back to the WWE back in January. Everything was all set to go, but they told her that they weren't moving along with the storyline. I don't know where the rumors came from, but I didn't do any medical tests. I am not signed to a contract for the WWE, and I'm not heading down to Tampa. It is kind of 'up in the air' right now, and I consider myself a 'free agent' at this moment. I know there is interest from WWE, and I know there is interest from Ring of Honor. Now, it's just a matter of seeing where the ball is going to land."
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
