(Cont…)
There’s a great sequence with Suicide hitting standing dropkicks on both King and Sabin. They both try and catch the newly returned star with various moves, but Suicide dodges everything and attempts a suicide dive (ha…) to the outside, catching himself at the last minute. Instead, he springboards off the second rope, to the outside and takes out both guys with a missile dropkick.
Eventually all three guys roll back into the ring, and brawl into the corner. Sabin places Suicide in the tree of woe, on top of Kenny King and begins to climb for the title. Suicide fights his way to the top rope and superplexes Sabin to the floor, while simultaneously taking out King with a DDT. Crazy.
Kenny King climbs the ropes and pulls himself across the ring to the title. Suicide leaps up to to the ropes, but King tries to take off his mask and sends him crashing to the floor. Just as King is about to win the match, Sabin springboards to the elevated ropes and wraps his legs around the ropes nearest the belt. The two brawl until King is knocked hard tot he mat, and Sabin takes down the title!
Winner and NEW CHAMPION: Chris Sabin
After the match, Chris Sabin celebrates on the ramp with his brand new title, and is busted open pretty bad, with blood pouring down the side of his face. Hulk Hogan’s music goes off, and he surprises the new champ. He tells the crowd that Sabin is the future of the business, and puts him over. Hogan announces that Sabin will get a future shot at the World title this summer, just like Austin Aries did last year at Destination X.
Hogan isn’t done, and makes his way to the ring to handle some “Hogan business, brother”. He is cut off immediately by the Aces & Eights, as Ken Anderson, Brisco and Bischoff come out and get in the ring. They talk about how tonight is the night of Aces & Eights, but The Hulkster isn’t having any of that. He calls Bischoff a bitch, and calls his “old man” a bitch too, just for good measure.
