John Cena vs Curtis Axel (w/ Paul Heyman)
Axel applies a side headlock and takes Cena to the mat, then he hits the ropes but Cena hiptosses him and Axel regroups with Heyman as we go to a break. We get back to see Axel throw Cena into the ring steps, then he rolls in to break the count and Heyman shouts instructions at him. Cena rolls back in and Axel stomps him in the corner, then he whips him across the ring and suplexes him for a near fall. Axel elbows Cena in the head and puts him in a stretch armbar, but Cena finally makes it to his feet and breaks the hold so Axel punches the back of his head and gets a two count.
Cena tries to get up but Axel kicks him in the head, then he whips Cena into the ropes but Cena hits a shoulder tackle and a sitout side slam. Cena follows up with the Five Knuckle Shuffle and sets up an Attitude Adjustment, but Axel counters with a dropkick and a middle rope forearm shot. Axel goes back to the middle ropes but Cena avoids the forearm, then he hits a side slam for two before Axel takes him down with a snapmare. Axel gets a near fall before setting up a fisherman's suplex, but Cena counters with a STF attempt so Axel kicks him away. Axel comes right back with a successful fisherman's suplex but Cena kicks out, then Cena clotheslines him as Ryback drives an ambulance out to the ring.
Cena leaves the ring and heads towards the ambulance, then he looks inside it but no one is in the cab and he gets counted out. Cena looks in the back but it is empty, then he starts to walk away as Ryback attacks him from behind and throws him on the stage. Ryback attempts to spear him through the stage again, but Cena counters with an AA attempt, only to have Ryback shove him off the stage as Curtis Axel is announced the winner by countout.
