5/16 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – Sting & Bully Ray Sign World Heavyweight Title Contract for Slammiversary

Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring, and says you can't trust anybody in TNA anymore. Even AJ Styles walked away. But apparently, Kurt Angle never backs down from a fight, and had Hulk Hogan make a match between them at Slammiversary. He calls out Styles tonight, because he doesn't want to wait for the fight, but Aces & Eights music interrupts him. Out comes Ken Anderson instead, who announces that next week the world will witness live, the patching in of AJ Styles.

Kurt Angle sucker punches Anderson with the microphone, and chases him from the ring, but AJ Styles sneaks up from behind and gets in the ring. The two stare each other down, and AJ kicks Kurt in the side of the head, leaving him laying on the mat while he walks away.

Christian York vs. Jay Bradley

These two former Gut Check stars brawl around the ring, trading right hands, and Bradley gets the first advantage with a big boot. He starts to work over York, delivering elbows to the back of the head, locking in a rear chinlock. York battles back and escapes the hold with an armdrag, springboarding off the second rope with a splash. Bradley crawls to the corner, and gets hit with a huge running avalanche. York goes for the Mood Swing, but Bradley counters and the two trade right hands. Bradley off the ropes, and he delivers a huge lariat (Boom Stick) for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Jay Bradley

Backstage, James Storm comes out of Hulk Hogan's office and is clearly upset. He says the Hulkster told him his actions have repercussions, but apparently that's not true of anybody else. He tells us to "keep watching" and walks off.

The Aces & Eights are celebrating backstage, and Ken Anderson is saying there's no doubt about AJ Styles's allegiance now. He tells D'Lo Brown to go out and kick some ass tonight.
