A fantastic video package highlighting moments from WWE history airs with a voice-over you can't quite make out over TV. Smoke fills the entrance ramp, and Diddy starts singing. He hypes up MetLife Stadium and begins another song – excuse my ignorance of Diddy's music. Last up is "Coming Home".
Zeb Coulter and Jack Swagger make their entrance during the video package for the next match. Coulter cuts a promo on America falling from grace and prosperity. He calls the country a " cesspool of criminals and illegals". He makes fun of the Spanish, the Greeks, the Italians – other people from NJ/NY. He tells them they can boo them all he wants, but they're all too gutless to do anything about it.
World Heavyweight Championship
Jack Swagger vs. Alberto del Rio (c)
Coulter distracts the champion long enough for Swagger to attack him from behind and throw him into a turnbuckle. He continues to keep working over del Rio by throwing his leg againt the ring post. Swagger continues to stalk the champion, but ADR comes back and clotheslines Swagger, followed by a tilt-the-whirl backbreaker. Del Rio goes for the Cross Arm Breaker, but Swagger turns it into a huge running powerslam.
Swagger keeps pressure on the knee, setting up an ankle lock with a chop block. Gut-Wrench Powerbomb connects, but del Rio kicks out before three. The ankle lock is locked in, and the champion can't get to the ropes. Somehow, del Rio counters the move into the Cross Arm Breaker. Another counter and Swagger rolls through into the Patriot Lock! ADR makes it to the ropes, and Swagger uses the full five-count before letting up the hold.
The challenger continues his offense with rights and lefts, but del Rio gets up and counters a gut-wrench powerbomb with a kick to the side of the head. Coulter puts Swagger's leg on the ropes and the referee yells at him for it. The action spills to the outside as Zeb Coulter goes after Ricardo; del Rio makes the save, but gets taken out from behind by Swagger. They roll back into the ring and ADR slaps on the Cross Arm Breaker! Swagger taps!
Results: Alberto del Rio retains via submission
