Former Knockout/Diva Turns Down “One Night Only” Invite, Daffney/TNA Lawsuit Update

Daffney vs TNA Update

Former TNA Knockout Daffney and TNA settled their lawsuit on Friday, reports PWInsider.com. The two parties settled right before they were to appear in court for a hearing.

Shannon "Daffney" Spruill had filed the lawsuit last year over TNA's failure to pay medical bills for injuries she had sustained during her 2009-2010 run with the company. TNA approached Spruill with a settlement just prior to a judge ruling on whether or not the "employee vs independent contractor" portion of the case would be separated from the rest of the lawsuit and seen as a different case altogether.

Daffney posted the following on Twitter: "I'd like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the love and support over the past two years. I appreciate so much that you recognize the HUGE injustice that is being done to Professional Wrestlers throughout the industry. I hope my case has opened up a few blind eyes and maybe now we, the wrestlers who put our bodies on the line every time we step in the ring, are one step closer to being provided with medical coverage and all the benefits that go along with being a true employee and not an independent contractor."

Karma Declines TNA Offer

Former WWE Diva, Karma (aka Awesome Kong) responded to a fan on Twitter today and said she turned down an offer to appear at the Knockouts "One Night Only" event, to be taped on March 17th. This should come as no surprise as Karma has stated in the past that she has no plans to return to TNA at any point in the future.

We reported yesterday that Traci Brooks also turned down TNA's invite to appear on the show.
