The Rock comes out to the ring while University of Louisiana-Lafayette marching band plays him in, then he says CM Punk did everything he could last night but he still lost. He says Punk showed he is a piece of trash by spitting in his face, but he's there live and that just means he's the champion and the world is watching. Rock says he is going to Wrestlemania, but he's not going with this title and he references the spinner belt. He says he has respect for the title and it shouldn't be a spinning toy, so he says this one's been around long enough and hands it to a crew member.
Rock tells him to put it in the Hall of Fame, then he talks about all the great champions before him before unveiling the new WWE Championship. Rock says he wanted to make something timeless, but it's also badass, then he puts it on his shoulder and says all that matters is his who he faces at Wrestlemania. Rock says there is one man he wants to face at Wrestlemania, then John Cena comes out and stares him down on the stage. CM Punk attacks him from behind and throws the old title on the ground, then he points at Rock and Rock dares him to come to the ring. Punk turns and heads backstage, then Cena struggles to get up as the show comes to a close.
