The Shield comes to the ring and Dean Ambrose says they are there to protect WWE from the atrocities that John Cena commits every week. He says they won't be threatened, then Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns says they should come out and face them right now because they aren't hard to find. Ambrose says it's an empty promise by Cena to take them out, then Rollins says Cena fails all the time and Sunday will be no different. Rollins says Cena will fail at their hands, then Ambrose calls Cena a failure and he says it's why they don't like him because he faces no consequences. Ambrose says they have a Cena problem, and Reigns says Cena has been the problem for a decade, but they are the solution.
Rollins says Cena tried to get everyone to buy into the system that he represents, but they are going to right a decade of wrongs in one night on Sunday. Ambrose says they are going to drown Cena, then Rollins screams to believe in The Shield before they give Cena one more chance to confront them. The Shield waits in the ring and taunts the crowd, then the lights go out and The Shield is being attacked by Cena, Sheamus and Ryback when they turn back on. The three attackers clear the ring and The Shield try to make a run for it, but they end up fighting into the crowd and in the stands. Cena chases them up the steps and The Shield finally gets away, then Cena celebrates with Sheamus and Ryback in the crowd as we go to a break.
Damien Sandow vs Alberto Del Rio
Sandow pummels Alberto in the corner and hits the Elbow of Disdain, but Alberto comes back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and a superkick for two. Sandow avoids the Cross Armbreaker and shoves Alberto into the ropes, then he tries to go for a waistlock but Alberto counters with the Cross Armbreaker and gets Sandow to immediately tap out. Alberto calls out to Big Show and says he cut the best promo of his life by staying silent, but he finally agrees with him about something. He says the time for talk is over, and Big Show can go anywhere he wants to after this Sunday. Alberto says the only place he is going is Wrestlemania, then he points to the Wrestlemania 29 sign and pumps up the crowd before leaving.
