An interviewer tries to get Sting's thoughts on the Aces & Eights and last week's wedding, but he simply says that right now isn't the right time, and he'll say what he has to say in front of the Impact Zone when he's ready.
Kenny King is seen talking to himself in a mirror backstage. He calls Zema Ion "Goku" and tells him he's going to look good enough for both of them later tonight. Kenny leaves, and Zema sprays his hair and starts talking to himself about being the best X-Division champ ever.
Joseph Park makes his way out, and says that contrary to popular belief, he's not the most graceful athlete ever. He calls himself a real member of the Impact roster, even though he couldn't get his "W" at Genesis. Park says that next week, Impact and Open Fight Night takes place in Manchester, England. He says he will be in Manchester next week, and he will be competing in his first ever Open Fight Night.
(2) Rob Van Dam & Christian York vs. Zema Ion & Kenny King
Van Dam starts out this match, sending Zema Ion into the corner and hitting him with a big monkey flip. He goes for Rolling Thunder, but King grabs his hair from the apron and sends him crashing to the mat. Ion makes the tag, and King quickly mounts the X-Division champ and fires away with rights and lefts. The heels work over Van Dam in the corner until he can break free and get the hot tag to Christian York. Spike TV cut out for a minute on my set, but when the show returned Kenny King had just stolen a pin over Rob Van Dam, and was celebrating with Zema Ion.
Winner: Kenny King & Zema Ion
Backstage, Samoa Joe tells Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco to back off. Kurt Angle enters the ring and tells Joe they'll talk later. Angle tells Bischoff that he's not 100% after the attack, but he's still here and he can still kick some ass.
