Santino Marella is backstage talking to Ricky Steamboat about being a fan of his, then Wade Barrett walks in and says this is really cute. He says Ricky is a has been and Santino is a never was, and now that he is the new Intercontinental Champion he is bringing prestige back. Wade says he is going to hurt Santino and calls Ricky an old man, but Ricky says he'll be in Santino's corner and they'll see what he still has left. Elsewhere, Matt Striker is with Randy Orton talking about the Royal Rumble, but 3MB walk over and Slater says one of them is winning the Rumble and main eventing Wrestlemania. Slater tells Orton to pick one of them to fight tonight, so Orton says he picks Slater, but he'll be playing a harp after he's done with him.
Rhodes Scholars vs Team Hell No
Bryan repeatedly kicks Cody in the chest and drops him with a bridge suplex, then he uppercuts him in the corner and whips him across the ring. Cody catches him with an elbow and makes a tag, then Sandow chokes him in the corner and stomps him before hitting the Elbow of Disdain. Sandow applies a headlock but Bryan fights out and leapfrogs him, then Kane tags in has trouble balancing on the turnbuckles before hitting a top rope clothesline. Kane connects with a corner clothesline and a side slam, then he calls for a chokeslam but Sandow ducks and rolls outside.
Bryan hits a running knee smash from the apron, then he rolls him inside and kicks him in the chest before whipping him across the ring. Bryan runs up the turnbuckles but injures his knee on the landing, and Cody uses the opportunity to stretch Bryan's knee around the ropes. Sandow stomps Bryan behind the ref's back but Kane runs over and attacks him, then Bryan goes for a quick rollup but Cody kicks out and hits Cross Rhodes for the win.
