Backstage: Dixie Carter & AJ Styles
After a video recap of last week's ongoings with AJ Styles, Daniels, Dixie Carter and Dixie's husband, we go backstage from "earlier today" and we see AJ and Dixie talking. AJ says he's tired of hiding. Dixie said she tried telling everyone last week, but she doesn't want anyone getting hurt. AJ informs her that people are already getting hurt. Dixie tells AJ not to get hurt in his match tonight and she'll figure something out.
Bound For Glory Series 12-Man Gauntlet Match
The rules go like this: this will be a Bound For Glory Series 12-man gauntlet battle royal. The winner of the BFG Series will challenge for the TNA World Title at Bound For Glory. As for tonight, a new entrant will enter the battle royal every 90 seconds until there is one man left standing. That man will receive 20 points in the Series. AJ Styles is out first. Next is Jeff Hardy. This contest is officially underway. Styles and Hardy go back-and-forth for 90 seconds until the third competitor comes in, and that third man is Rob Van Dam. RVD is flying all over the place putting a beating on both guys. We head to a mid-match commercial. We come back from commercial and Bully Ray comes out as the fifth guy. The fourth was during the commercial, and that was Magnus. Sting comes out as the sixth guy. No eliminations thus far. Out next is The Pope. Jeff Hardy is the first man to be eliminated. Out of nowhere, Abyss appeared from under the ring and pulled Bully Ray out to the floor. Apparently that means Ray is eliminated, too. We head to another commercial. Tenay revealed that whoever does not win the TNA World Title match tonight will be the 12th man in the BFG Series. James Storm is the last official entrant into the ongoing gauntlet match and when the smoke cleared, Storm won the whole kit-and-kaboodle.
Winner: James Storm
Post-Match: James Storm Promo
After winning the gauntlet, Storm celebrated with a few beers before grabbing the microphone. Storm mentioned that the last time he was on Impact, he was talking about how he thought his luck had possibly run out. He said he's spent the past two months with his family discussing his wrestling future. Storm mentioned that his little girl asked him when he was going back to wrestling, which made him realize how important it was to her. He said he made a promise to her that he will become TNA World Champion. Storm said he didn't realize how important he was to the fans until Slammiversary and tonight, so the promise goes to the fans as well. Storm wrapped up by saying he's back and that he hopes Bobby Roode is still champion after the BFG Series.
