Kane def. C.M. Punk
What I Liked:
Once again, the match between the two was very solid. Punk does a great job with psychology in the ring, which includes his mentality of "chopping down" the big giant. His kicks and chops give him the leverage and believability that he can beat a much larger opponent. Also, I loved how they implemented Bryan from the outside once again. There are so many layers to this Triple Threat Match, which also gave AJ another reason. She again involves herself with Punk, costing him the match. Overall, I thought the segment built more intrigue for everyone and continues to make Kane look like the favorite to win. He needs this badly over the others, two who have carried world titles now and in the near past.
What I Disliked:
There were a few missteps, including a missed knee, as well as Kane moving from the elbow drop. AJ comes out once again and tries to flirt with Kane, which was stupid and funny at the same time. Other than a few small mistakes, it did exactly what it needed to, and that was to get the crowd more invested each week with this developing story.
Grade: B+
-AJ is backstage and flirts with Josh Matthews. She says she likes when guys look at her.
Kofi Kingston and R-Truth def. Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks
What I Liked:
A very entertaining match between two very solid tag teams. I thoroughly enjoyed this match. I really begin to appreciate Kofi Kingston because he is so crisp with executing his moves. The flow of the match was in benefit to Truth and Kofi, more fast paced showcasing their abilities. I also like the small things, including matching gear for Hawkins and Reks. They had a good showing tonight, and I think they can be a good tag team given the right timing and an even better angle to involve themselves in.
What I Disliked:
You just knew that Kofi and Truth would win. There was no dramatic angle in the match where you thought they would lose. That is one thing that is so underrated, the uncertainty of who will win. You can basically predict who will win each matchup, and that makes a huge difference between an average and a great Raw.
