Backstage: Jeremy Borash Interviews Bobby Roode

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Bobby Roode. Roode says tonight is the night that the world is waiting for. He says tonight is the night Storm has been waiting for. In his hometown, in front of his family and friends, a shot at the World Title. He claims tonight he'll walk into the cage and prove to everyone what he says is true. He says he always has been and always will be better than him. He says the time for talking is over, tonight is a wrestling match. It's a fight. He says he's out for blood. He hates Storm and Storm hates him. He warns Storm to put his wife and kids to bed.

Steel Cage Match For The TNA World Heavyweight Title: Bobby Roode vs. James Storm

Storm comes out first driving a vintage pickup truck into the arena. He grabs a beer out of a 12-pack and sprays it into the crowd on his way to the ring. He gets a huge pop from the crowd. Champion Bobby Roode is out next. Storm attacks Roode from behind and slams him back-first into the cage wall. He also slams him into the barricade and face-first into the ringside steps. Storm spits beer in Roode's face. Storm slams him into the announcer's table next. Storm is really going to work on Roode here early. Roode tries leaving the arena, trying to exit through the entrance way but he's stopped. Roode eventually comes back and slams Storm's face into the cage. Roode grabs a beer bottle and busts Storm open. Roode is now in control of the offense. Now the bell rings and the match is finally officially underway. Jeez! Roode still in control now as the match gets going inside the ring. Roode scrapes Storm's face against the cage, opening up Storm's cut even more. Roode kicks away at Storm before telling him that he's nothing and that Roode hates Storm's guts. Roode says he never needed Storm. He says he never wanted Storm, all while stomping him. Roode says that Storm was nothing without him. Storm continues to taunt him while slapping him. Storm throws Roode in the corner and flurries on him with punches. Storm is a ball of fiery offense now. Storm scrapes Roode's face against the cage before bringing him back inside the ring. Roode slams Storm into the cage. Roode is crawling towards the door now. Storm stops him by grabbing onto his foot. Roode goes right into the Crossface, right in the middle of the squared circle. Storm won't tap. He gets to the ropes to break the hold. Roode tries leaving the cage a little bit later, but Storm stops him. They fight at the top of the cage. Both guys are ramming each other's face into the cage while still up there. Storm eventually sends Roode crashing down to the canvas. Storm climbs to the very top of the cage. He decides to hit a move on Roode instead of leaving. Storm ends up hitting Roode with a codebreaker off the top. He calls for the Last Call superkick. Storm waits on Roode to stand up, but as he does, Roode pulls the ref into the way and Storm hits Brian Hebner with the kick. Roode asks for the cage door to be opened. Storm waits on the apron and asks Earl Hebner to hand him a beer. Roode uses the bottle to smash it across Storm's head. Roode calls Earl in to make the three count as he attempts to pin Storm. He gets a pin, but Storm manages to kick out at two. Storm blasts Roode with a superkick out of nowhere. Both men are down. Roode heads to the apron right in front of the cage door. Storm hits Roode with another superkick but it sends Roode crashing through the cage door and hitting the floor. Because he was out of the cage first, Roode retains.
