"Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" featuring The Rock, which has already brought in over $50 million overseas, made it's North American debut last night garnering $6.5 million in the US. It has also been projected to gross over $20 million this weekend, far surpassing some of the Rock's previous films, such as "Faster" and "The Tooth Fairy".
Apart from wrestling John Cena at this year's WrestleMania, the Rock will be filming two new movies in 2012 – "Pain and Gain", a new Michael Bay film also featuring Mark Wahlberg, and "Empire State".
