They get back up and go punch for punch, then Roode hits the ropes and hits a flying forearm, and hits a leaping neckbreaker from the middle rope. Joe drops him with a fireman's carry slam then sets up for the Muscle Buster, but Roode counters and puts him in the Crossface. Joe rolls backwards and gets Roode's shoulders down, but Roode kicks out and Joe jumps on his knee and sets up for another attack. Roode telegraphs it and catches him with a fisherman's suplex for the win, then celebrates and points to James Storm on the ramp.

Eric Bischoff comes back to the ring and says families have problems, but they can work through them and asks Garrett to come back out to the ring. He says he gave him an ultimatum but there are two sides to every story and he can forgive his son. Eric says he remembers being young and dumb, and hands him the mic and says he won't hold anything against him. Garrett doesn't say anything and Eric starts getting mad and tells him he better apologize now, but Garrett shakes his head no. Eric slaps him in the face and Garrett grabs him and threatens to hit him, but Ric Flair comes out and breaks it up.
Flair tells him this is tough love and the fans won't help him, so he wants an apology and tells Garrett to kiss his ass. He says he won't mess around like Eric is, and tells him he better apologize or he is going to mess him up. Flair shoves him, so Garrett punches him back, but Flair and Eric both hit him below the belt and Flair starts chopping him in the corner. Eric mockingly listens for an apology, then Flair says he is going to hurt him some more and kicks him then Eric thanks him as Impact ends.
