Storm tries countering an Irish whip with an elbow in the corner but he accidentally hits both Roode and the ref and all three men fall down. Kurt Angle runs down to ringside and throws Storm into the ringsteps then rolls him inside and Roode covers him, then looks surprised when Storm kicks out. Storm goes for the Last Call again but Roode catches his foot and hooks with a fisherman's suplex to pick up the win. Roode checks on his partner after the match and looks around as he didn't see Angle interfere earlier.

Hulk Hogan comes out to the ring and says he woke up today and realized today would be the last day he would be in the wrestling business. He says the fans showed him so much love and he thanks them, then he says it was hard telling his family that he would be home alot more. Hulk says he says it's a great career and he couldn't have asked for more and continues to thank the fans. He holds up a Hulkamania weight belt and says it could have gone on forever, but it is time to put it to rest and says Hulkamania ends tonight.
Sting comes out and Hulk says he is unwelcome, but Sting apologizes and asks if anyone really believes that he is retiring. Hulk says he said goodbye and he is actually done, and Sting says he may just be bitter, but he may just know Hulk better than anyone else. Sting says there are cameras everywhere and there is nothing hidden, and he says he will leave after they play his footage. They show a clip of Hulk and Bischoff talking about the retirement being fake and it being a ploy to sell more merchandise. Hulk loses it and says that is enough and tells Sting he has crossed the line, and if he wants a fight then he is going to get what he wants. Hulk says he is so confident that if Sting can beat him he will give the company back to Dixie Carter. He puts his hand over his mouth and can't believe what he said and Sting says he got what he came for and leave the ring as Impact comes to a close.
