CM Punk is getting loose in the locker room when John Cena enters and talks about what they have in common. Punk disagrees, but Cena makes his points about being controversial and having great, history making matches. He says they can work together tonight, but he is more worried about what will happen after the match, and everything leading up to Hell In A Cell, where they will make history again. Cena says Punk might not even make it there because HHH plans on firing someone tonight, but Punk says he might not be the one leaving. He tells Cena he could be the first WWE Champion that gets fired, and that would actually be something historic.
R-Truth & The Miz vs CM Punk & John Cena
Miz tries to ambush Cena but he gets punched and dropped with a bulldog, then Punk tags in and they double hiptoss Miz and Punk hits a running legdrop for two. Miz gets up and makes a tag, and Punk suplexes him for two, then Truth ties him up in the ropes and punches him in the chest. He whips Punk off the ropes but it gets reversed, and Cena tags in and waits for Miz to get in the ring after Truth made a tag is his corner. Miz kicks him in the knees and hits a DDT for a two count as we go to a break. When we get back, Miz kicks Cena in the face and taunts him before going for another kick, but Cena ducks it only for Miz to catch him and he hits a neckbreaker/backbreaker combo.
Cena comes back with a tilt-a-whirl slam and Miz tags Truth, who prevents Cena from making a tag and he kicks Cena on the apron then listens to the ref when he calls for a break. Truth punches him and goes for a pin, but Cena kicks out and Miz works on him in the corner then turns around and mocks Punk. Cena hits an atomic drop then goes after Truth, but Miz clotheslines him then sets up in the corner for another running clothesline. Cena moves out of the way and Miz crashes into the corner, then Cena dives and finally makes the tag. Punk unloads on Miz then knocks him in the corner with a dropkick, then drops him with a bulldog and follows it with a springboard clothesline. He goes for the GTS but Miz slides out and runs towards Punk, but he ducks and Miz almost crashes into Truth. He stops himself but Punk shoves Miz into Truth then picks up Miz and hits the GTS for the win.
Winners – CM Punk & John Cena
Cena gets back in the ring and raises Punk's arm and they celebrate until HHH's music starts to play and he comes out to the ramp. He says he is sorry to cut the party short, but he says Truth and Miz are fired, and turns around and leaves. Miz and Truth are shocked then run to the back to try and catch HHH. A group of Superstars are shown watching the show on monitors in the back when HHH walks by and Scott Stanford tries to ask him what the reason is for firing them. Before he can answer, Truth and Miz attack him from behind and they are pulled apart by all the other Superstars. HHH tells them to throw Miz and Truth out of the building and HHH kicks the door open and they are thrown outside. HHH is furious and tells everyone to get out of his way and kicks an equipment case as RAW ends.
