Backstage: Jeremy Borash 9/11 Reflective
Backstage, Jeremy Borash says that TNA would like to take a minute out of the PPV to acknowledge those who lost loved ones on 9/11. Borash introduces Rosita by her real name, Thea Trinidad, and talks about how she lost her father in the World Trade Center on 9/11. She cuts a promo talking about him, etc.
TNA Title: Kurt Angle vs. Sting vs. Mr. Anderson
Angle immediately backs off and lets Sting and Anderson go at it in the ring by themselves. It backfires though, as Anderson and Sting team up to beat up Angle. Once Angle was laid out at ringside, Sting and Anderson finally go at one-another. Angle returns to the ring to be caught by an Anderson neckbreaker. Anderson goes for a pin, but Sting pulls him off and fights with him. Angle is fighting back now, as he suplexes Sting for a nearfall. Angle hits three-german suplexes on both Sting and Anderson. He attempts a pin on each guy, to no avail. Later on, Sting applies the Scorpion Deathlock on Anderson. Angle intervenes and hits an Angle Slam on Sting for a nearfall. Angle applies the Ankle Lock on Sting, who eventually escapes and Anderson hits a Mic Check for a nearfall. Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop on Anderson. Hulk Hogan comes out and grabs Sting and sprays something in his eyes. Sting, still blinded, re-enters the ring only to be Angle Slam’d by Angle for the pinfall.
Winner: Kurt Angle
After The Match
After the match, Hogan enters the ring to celebrate with Angle. They hug. The show ends on that note.
