Arda Ocal (@Arda_Ocal) and Jimmy Korderas (@JimmyKorderas) of Right After Wrestling Radio recently spoke with Gangrel (@gangrel13). Here are some highlights:
What Gangrel is up to today – Territory Fight League
Gangrel’s account of why the Brood was created
"The whole Brood thing was just to get Edge over. Edge always pushed Christian to come in because they’re boys from Toronto. And I don’t think they expected us to get over and they didn’t know what to do with us when it took off. They put us in the Ministry but when we would come out on the stage, the crowd would chant for the Brood and I went back to Adam (Edge) and said that this wouldn’t last long and 2 weeks later they tell us we’re gonna now feud with the Ministry. But it was just a vessel to get Edge over – they knew from day one that Edge was the future for them"
Does he still talk to and keep in contact with Edge – after his retirement
Why have vampires in wrestling never truly worked for a long period of time?
On the Brood being a conduit for future stars – Edge, Christian, Matt & Jeff Hardy; why not Gangrel?
A funny story of Gangrel spitting in the face of Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden
"Well, Vince was kinda weird with his pranks. So he invited Donald (Trump) to the show at the Garden and he put him right there by the stairs. And when I came out I got a huge pop. And when I went to drink and spew that blood the crowd was buzzing and it made me want to spew even more. So I drank it all back and when I spewed it out the crowd popped huge! And I was like ‘man that crowd is hot’. And when I got to the back, somebody said they couldn’t believe I spit on Donald Trump and I was like ‘I’m sorry, I did what!?’ But man did I ever soak him with that stuff."
On both himself and Edge getting burnt while using the lift during the Brood entrance and who came up with the Brood entrance idea
All this…plus so much more!
