Vince says as much as he would not like to do this, he says let’s get this over with, and John Cena makes his way out to the arena. Cena tells him not to worry because he won’t insult his family or his company and he knows what he is about to do. Cena says he knows what Vince did to Shawn Michaels, and after all the championships and matches, they still said he still screwed Bret. He put himself in his shoes last week, and said he didn’t want to screw Bret, and he didn’t want to screw CM Punk.
He tells Vince they had a classic match and he didn’t want Vince to ruin it, and if Vince got involved he would have made the WWE Championship meaningless. Cena says he might get fired, but Vince has eight months to find another opponent for The Rock at Wrestlemania, and it’ll probably happen without missing a beat. Cena says he can leave with his dignity and his head held high, and if he is done then he will go on someone else’s show, because he loves what he does. Vince tells him he won’t let Cena take this moment away from him, and starts to talk but get’s cut off by Triple H!
HHH comes out and talks to Vince off mic, then Vince gets him a mic and introduces him as his son-in-law and an all time great. HHH says there was a last minute board of directors meeting and the board asked him to come and talk to Vince because of the current situation in the company. He asks to go talk in the back, and says he tried to stop Vince from coming to the ring, because the board is concerned about Vince. He says they all know he built the company from his vision, but they are concerned about Vince’s extremely questionable decisions as of late. HHH continues by saying he came here to tell Vince that the board filed an injunction against him and the family agrees with the decision, and the board appointed someone to take over operations. HHH says he can’t believe it, but he is the one who is going to be taking over!
He says John Cena isn’t getting fired and he won’t be doing anything else, but he taught him no one is bigger than the company and it’s just business. He doesn’t like it, but he is here to inform Vince that he is relieved of his duties as Chairman and Vince starts crying! He tries to regain his composure and HHH says he is trying to do right by the business, and asks him to look at him. He says he is sorry and says ‘I love you, pop’ before leaving the ring and looking back one more time at the ring. The crowd chants thank you Vince as he looks around the arena and nods his head to acknowledge them as RAW goes off the air.
