Tonight’s edition of Dan Masters Live features a blend of wrestling and entertainment news and information, beginning at 9:00 PM ET, and is brought to you by Georgia Wrestling History’s GWH Radio Network. John Saxton, along with Danielle, will be joining Masters on the show.
Monday’s night’s debut of the Sports Buffet, hosted by ‘Chef’ Tim Dix, along with Rich Tate, featured Dave O’Brien, the Braves’ beat writer for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, who gave some insight into moves that have been made, as well as some possible moves, in preparation for the 2009 season. O’Brien also graced the show with an impersonation of Dusty Rhodes. There was also some Super Bowl analysis and predictions for the matchup between the Steelers and Cardinals, as well as talk on the rest of the local sports scene. World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown crew will be in
WWE results from the RAW broadcast at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH, on January 26: Randy Orton threatened to sue WWE and the McMahon family if they could not overlook last week’s attack on Vince McMahon, since they know he suffers from “Intermittent Explosive Disorder”, but managed to read an apology prepared by his “lawyer”, who along with his “doctor” stood beside him as he spoke – he promised that if he was fired, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Jr., would leave with him; John Morrison & the Miz over Cryme Tyme to retain the WWE World Tag Team Title; Kofi Kingston over Kane in a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out; Mickey Rourke is seen challenging Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, to which Jericho says it’s one thing to portray a wrestler in a movie, but entirely different doing the real thing; John Cena over Shawn Michaels in an Elimination Chamber qualifier, when JBL accidentally got involved; Stephane McMahon promises repercussions for Orton later on the show; Beth Phoenix & Jillian over Melina & Kelly Kelly, with an assist from Rosa Mendez; Rey Mysterio, Jr., over William Regal in another qualifier for the Chamber; Phoenix tells Santino Marella that Mendez is a keeper; Chris Jericho over CM Punk in another Chamber qualifying match; Stephanie called out Orton, who came out with his doctor, two lawyers, Rhodes, and DiBiase – Orton reiterated his comments from earlier, and his “lawyer” also spoke; as Orton got in her face trying to intimidate her, the locker room emptied and Orton turned to address them, saying he would take them all down of he is fired, then turned to Stephanie and begged her to fire him – nose-to-nose, Stephanie said firing him would be too easy, and that they had bigger plans; Shane McMahon came out, rolled up his sleeves, entered the ring, and got into a staredown with Orton – Orton, Rhodes, and DiBiase began to back away, but Shane jumped Orton, only to end up battling all three men; while Shane and Rhodes battled, DiBiase tried to carry Orton to the back, but Shane gave chase and caught him, leading to several who had left the locker room getting involved to try and stop it, as the show ended.
