Thursday’s edition of the NoseBleed Section, hosted by John Cannon and Joe Cowart, was live on location at a wrestling event at Cross Creek High School in Augusta, GA, to raise money for the school’s baseball and softball programs. Highlights include interviews with Ricky Morton of the Rock & Roll Express and GA/SC indy wrestler J.C. Walker, as well as a near-death experience by our very own Evelyn Dicks. World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown crew will be in Guadalajara, MX, at Arena VFG, tonight. Advertised: Triple H, the Undertaker, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, the Big Show, Vladimir Kozlov, Umaga, Shelton Benjamin, the Great Khali, MVP, R-Truth, Carlito, Primo Colon, Brian Kendrick, Michelle McCool, Natalya, and the Bella Twins. Bell time is 8:30 PM.
WWE’s RAW/ECW crew will be at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, WV, tonight. Advertised: John Cena defends the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Randy Orton (not oing to happen, obviously); and Jack Swagger defends the WWE ECW Heavyweight Title against Matt Hardy. Also on the bill: Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Kane, Finlay, Mark Henry, Mickie James, and Beth Phoenix. Bell time is 7:30 PM.
The lineup for tonight’s SmackDown broadcast on MyNetwork TV, from WWE, is as follows: Michelle McCool & Maryse versus Eve Torres & Maria; footage from the Bella Twins’ date with John Morrison & the Miz; Shelton Benjamin & Chavo Guerrero, Jr., versus R-Truth & MVP; Scotty Goldman versus Umaga; and Jeff Hardy versus Edge.
WWE results from the SmackDown house show at Plazas De Toros La Luz in Leon, MX, on February 19: Carlito & Primo Colon over Brian Kendrick & Ezekiel to retain the WWE Tag Team Title; Umaga over the Great Khali; Kung Funaki over Eric Escobar; Shelton Benjamin over MVP to retain the WWE US Heavyweight Title; Brie Bella over Michelle McCool; Jeff Hardy & the Undertaker over Edge & the Big Show; and Triple H over Vladimir Kozlov to retain the WWE Heavyweight Title.
The final overall rating for the Tuesday edition of WWE’s ECW was 1.2.
WWE is wishing Colt Cabana well in his future endeavors. Cabana had been making occasional appearances wrestling as Scotty Goldman.
WWE has announced that the RAW crew will be at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC, on July 27. Tickets go on sale March 7.

TNA has signed Robert Roode to a new deal, locking him up through 2014.
Ring of Honor has announced that their weekly program on HDNet will air on Saturday nights at 8:00 PM ET, with the debut on March 21.
A non-title match featuring ROH World Heavyweight Champion Nigel McGuinness versus Jay Briscoe has been add to the February 28 tapings in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to Ric Flair making his ROH debut appearance with ROH in Collinsville, IL, on March 13, matches announced include: Bobby Dempsey, Kevin Steen & El Generico versus the American Wolves (Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards & Chris Hero), with Larry Sweeney, and Roderick Strong versus Jay Briscoe. The first match announced for the Indianapolis, IN, event on March 14 is Kenny Omega versus Claudio Castagnoli.

Aldo Bogni had been the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Don McIntyre on January 26, 1953, in Augusta. James Hartley managed Leslie Carlton. Of all the programs we have between the last one mentioned, this is the first to resume listing staff members of the Atlanta office, showing that Bill Hartman (Ticket Sales, and now credited also as Bookkeeper) and Simon Davis (Timekeeper) are still involved in the promotion. Ray McCay, despite still doing the main event matches on WQXI 790 AM radio, is not referenced in this program. There is a plug once again for Stan Raymond’s “Sportscope” radio show, seemingly back on WATL AM radio Monday through Friday at 6:15 PM. It was announced that Jim Siskay would debut on March 7, 1953, and that Gorgeous George was scheduled to headline that card. It was also announced that Jack O’Brien would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.

The Assassins had been the reigning Georgia Tag Team Champions since they, along with Nick Bockwinkel, defeated Doug Gilbert and then champions Ray Gunkel & Buddy Fuller in a special six-man tag team match with the title on the line on December 19, 1969, in Atlanta. The Assassins had vowed that if they lost the title to Doug Gilbert & El Mongol, they would unmask in the ring following the match. The Assassins had initially been declared winners of the match, but when they attacked their opponents following the bell, the decision was reversed. Gilbert was reportedly injured during the chaos. The match between Wilbur Snyder and Nick Bockwinkel ended when both men collided in the middle of the ring, and Snyder’s hand landed across the chest of Bockwinkel, giving him the win when the referee counted to three. Leo Garibaldi and Eddie Smith were credited as being referees for this card. The program for this card featured an advertisement for Maria’s Restaurant of Mexican Food, owned by El Mongol, located at
4300 Buford Highway.
