Various sites have reported that Lance Cade is expected to joinTNA, which we noted here crediting one of those sites. It’s not true. Cade was approached by TNA’s talent relations director for it’s tag team tournament (4 TV tapings and a PPV), but he was already booked in Japan, and said no. Cade is focusing primarily on a singles career, Japan bookings, and the NWA. His feeling is that he and Murdoch were 3 time WWE Tag Champions, and there’s not much left for that team to accomplish after that. He has been teaming with Murdoch at NWA TV Tapings, and on occasional NWA House Shows, but otherwise is focusing on singles matches. So do not expect Lance Cade in TNA regardless of the reports.
I found the announcement of Jay Lethal resigning with TNA made on TNA’s site to be interesting as the company has not often announced anything when they resign folk. Robert Roode announced his resigning himself. TNA did acknowledge not resigning Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt, Jimmy Rave & Lance Cade, or at least did not deny it, and three "releases" were part of TV angles. TNA renewed quite a few of it’s stars recently. In fact most of it’s "key" younger male TNA talent have been renewed and for anywhere from 3-5 years.
