However, due to the injury Mysterio suffered in his match with Shelton Benjamin earlier in the night, the new main event of Edge vs. Chris Jericho was added instead, with the two having practically no notice.
Again, Mysterio’s injury wasn’t too serious, as he was able to do a run-in later in the tapings, but couldn’t wrestle, which casued a number of segments building to his planned main event with Edge to be rewritten as the show was going on live.
